EJC Contracts Ltd has announced that it has achieved full accreditation under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), a key industry benchmark that demonstrates the company’s capability to carry out works on electrical infrastructure across both the UK and Northern Ireland.

This certification enables EJC Contracts to work directly with all Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs). It marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to grow its service offering and build on its strong track record in utility infrastructure and energy solutions.

The scope of the accreditation covers a wide range of approved activities including project management, civil engineering works, low-voltage (LV) cable laying, and cable jointing. In the UK, the company is now fully approved for both LV dead and LV live jointing, as well as network connections for LV mains and services. In Northern Ireland, approval has been granted for LV dead jointing.

Edward Connolly, Director at EJC Contracts Ltd, said:

“We’re extremely proud to have achieved NERS accreditation, which reflects the high standards we apply to everything we do. Gaining this certification allows us to carry out a full suite of contestable works on behalf of all DNOs and IDNOs across the UK and Northern Ireland, including cable laying and jointing activities, as well as broader project management and civil engineering services.

"This is more than just a compliance box ticked; it’s a recognition of the professionalism, skill and safety standards our team consistently upholds. It gives existing and prospective clients the confidence that we can deliver high-quality, technically complex work within regulated environments. It also places us in a stronger position to support the growth of our business and expand our footprint in the energy and infrastructure sectors.”

The NERS accreditation comes at a time of increasing demand for trusted contractors in utility and energy projects, including electric vehicle charging infrastructure and power network upgrades. EJC Contracts Ltd is now well positioned to meet that demand and deliver value to clients across both public and private sectors.
